Knight Architects

About Us

Knight Architects is a specialist architectural practice providing a dedicated service to two distinct markets:

a specialist bridge architecture consultancy based on the unique experience, skills and passion for bridge design that Martin Knight has built up over more than a decade in leading architecture and engineering practice

an RIBA chartered practice offering a full range of design and management services

The practice is founded on the beliefs that good design is vital and that simple, beautiful solutions are based on a clear understanding of function, context, value and time.

Martin Knight worked for nine years at Wilkinson Eyre Architects, where he was responsible for some of the best known and most acclaimed bridge projects of modern times including the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, the Gatwick Airbridge and the Royal Ballet School ‘Bridge of Aspiration’. His public buildings include the National Waterfront Museum Swansea.

In 2005 Martin Knight was selected in the Architects' Journal/Corus 40 Under 40 Awards and since 2006 he has been a member of the Design Review Panel of the Design Commission for Wales.
