Lochnagar Street Bridge, London (2007-)
The striking shell-form bridge will provide the revitalised Poplar Riverside development with a dramatic new pedestrian and cycle link across the River Lee. The distinctive form is derived from simple toroidal geometry, allowing the high strength lightweight structure to be cast using repeat elements, with cast-in openings to create a high degree of transparency, aiding cross views and lighting.
