Stratford Town Centre Link, London (2006-)
The bridge for Westfield at Stratford City will form a vital link for shoppers, residents, workers and visitors to the London 2012 Olympics. The design includes a broad 12m wide deck and fully glazed 5m tall sides, providing secure and transparent enclosure within the structure of the Vierendeel truss. The careful use of weathering steel simplifies maintenance requirements and brings a sophisticated, urban appearance.
