Aaron and Joe conquer 55-Mile London to Brighton Cycle Ride for charity
15 September 2026
What a ride! We are incredibly proud of Aaron and Joe after completing the unforgettable 55-mile London to Brighton Cycle Ride. The route followed predominantly quiet country lanes through outer London and Sussex, before taking on the iconic Ditchling Beacon - over 150m of vertical ascent - and finishing on Brighton seafront. Despite a loose chain and an uncooperative knee, the pair crossed the finish line together in a very respectable 5hr 15mins.
Between them, they raised nearly £900 for the The Bike Project - a wonderful organisation providing life changing opportunities for refugees through cycling.
Summing up his experience, Aaron said: "It was so great cycling with a peloton, getting emotionally and physically drawn along. A very successful and satisfying day with a new PB distance!"
"Brilliant experience to be part of - the enjoyment of riding with everyone taking on the challenge! By far the longest cycle I have ever done, but really pleased to complete it!" echoed Joe.
