Drammen City Bridge is now open to pedestrians

With the paving complete, the Norwegian city's latest bridge is now partially open to pedestrians! It provides a safe and accessible route across the River Drammenselva, enhancing connectivity between Bragernes and Strømsø and directly linking to the rail station. Seeing it in use for the first time is a proud moment for our team and partners: Degree of Freedom, SAAHA, Asplan Viak, Light Bureau and Porr Group. 

Its thoughtful design prioritises accessibility, inclusivity, and active mobility, while also creating a welcoming urban realm that connects communities. 

Work on the remaining intricate details, including the highway section, is ongoing, with the full bridge scheduled to open on 25 October.
