Stratford Town Centre Link wins AT Award 2025
14 November 2025
“...it injects joy to the daily commute and the civic realm.”
14 years after opening, we’re delighted that Stratford Town Centre Link has been recognised for its continued relevance and long-term impact at the Architecture Today Awards (Infrastructure & Public Realm category).
Completed ahead of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this 130-metre pedestrian bridge — London’s first “street in the sky” — connects Stratford Station, Westfield Stratford City, and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Spanning one of the capital’s busiest railway corridors, the bridge was designed for longevity, with a 120-year lifespan and a focus on durability and low maintenance.
Delivered with Buro Happold, the bridge continues to serve as a vital link and a defining part of Stratford’s public realm.
A big thank you to Architecture Today for a wonderful evening celebrating design that stands the test of time.
