Building bridges, changing lives!

It’s a wrap on the bridge build in Rwanda! Over two weeks in Kigali, the Knight Architects team, alongside Fast + Epp and Fast + Epp Deutschland, worked hand-in-hand with Bridges to Prosperity and the Ngayake community to deliver a new pedestrian suspension bridge. The new structure will transform daily lives, providing safe, reliable access to schools, markets, and healthcare.
Anthea, Arianna, Simon and Tom brought their expertise and energy to every stage of construction, using hand tools and local materials to build the trail suspension bridge from start to finish.
Watching the community use the bridge for the time was a profoundly humbling experience. This hands-on project was more than just building a bridge; it was about collaboration, resilience, and leaving a lasting legacy for the Ngayake community.
